The Brunswick Glynn County Mayor's Committee on Services for the Disabled, Inc. will hold the 11th Annual “Spring Fling” at Mary Ross Park, Downtown Brunswick, on Saturday, April 14, from 12pm – 3pm. This unique event is provided for disabled citizens (regardless of age or type of disability), their families, and the general public, to gather together for an afternoon of free food, activities, and live entertainment. K9 Bronx and I will have an information booth set up for 1Boy4Change.org and we have donated a "Chocolate & Coffee" Gift Basket for the raffle fundraiser! Don't miss out - this is going to be a great event!
Purple Day – The Global Day of Epilepsy Awareness™
Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. In 2011, people in dozens of countries on all continents except Antarctica participated in Purple Day. With your help, Purple Day 2012 will be even bigger!
Why Get Involved?
Epilepsy affects over 50 million people worldwide or approximately 1 in 100 people. That's more than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson's disease combined.
1Boy4Change is going to participate in Purple Day! Watch for upcoming Purple Day events. Please, help me raise awareness. "Together we can move mountains!"
“1 Boy 4 Change” is my foundation for “change.” Change in the way we see ourselves, our community and our world. Join me and we can all make a difference in at least one life!
